The 2026 Town & County Tax bills were sent out by First-Class mail last week to anyone paying their tax bills directly to us-- and they were e-mailed to anyone who has signed up for E-Bills on our site as well!
Please call us if you have any questions: (914) 763-3100—we’re happy to help. Below are some helpful tips:
Know that you can pay the bills here at the office, or online, STARTING ON APRIL 1, the first day of the April 2026 Tax Collection.
Payment will be penalty-free if received in the office before close of business on 4/30/2026. Pay as early as possible in the month so you can see your check clear and know there are no issues with meeting the deadline. Penalty applies May 1 and cannot be waived under New York State Real Property Tax Law.
On April 1 you can pay online from the comfort of your home or office via ACH ($1.00 charge), or by Credit Card (2.4 processing fee for Master Card, Visa or Discover), at www.lewisborony.gov/receiveroftaxes.
Or you can mail your entire bill (don’t detach the stub) to the Tax Office at PO Box 412, South Salem, NY 10590. See the back of your bill for important information about mailing in your payment!
Or you can bring the bill and your check to us—office opens at 9 AM—to 11 Main Street in South Salem. We’ll be happy to see you, and if paid that day you can leave the office with your stamped paid receipt in hand!
The Tax Office, at 11 Main, is in the blue-sided Lewisboro Town House with the Veterans Flagpole out front, and is next door to the library. Park behind the Town House for easy access and come up the ramp to the back door entrance.
If you need a tax bill as you’ve recently satisfied your mortgage or you are no longer escrowing with your bank, you need to let us know ASAP! E-Mail us at: taxrec [at] lewisborony.gov (taxrec[at]lewisborony[dot]gov) and get confirmation of your e-mail.
Thank you in advance to our residents—and Happy Spring to all!
